The Solution For The Discharge (Running Issue)

Good Morning! I was so blessed from reading Leviticus 15 this morning, that I had to share my findings! The Word of God is true. He really does give understanding in everything!

In yesterday's blog, I mentioned the difficulty some encounter in understanding Leviticus. Well, I had to dig a little deeper myself today as I found myself reading over Leviticus 15 finding it a bit challenging to grasp its meaning and apply it to my life. But thanks be to God! Through His Holy Spirit He lead me to the truth and gave me understanding. I trust this will help you too.

Leviticus 15:1-3 says, And the LORD spoke unto Moses and to Aaron, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man hath a running issue out of his flesh, because of his issue he is unclean. 3 And this shall be his uncleanness in his issue: whether his flesh run with his issue, or his flesh be stopped from his issue, it is his uncleanness.

A running issue is described as an active flowing discharge from a person's body ( Lev. 15:2 ) that renders a person unclean, man ( 2 Sam. 3:29 ) or woman ( Lev. 15:19 ).

Jesus spoke of where the source of this running issue come from. In Mark 7:20 He says, And then He added, "It is what comes from inside that defiles you. 21 For from within, out of a person's heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. 23 All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you.

Now when you put this in light of what comes out of our bodies (spittle, urine, sweat, excrement) it is unclean. Sickness and disease is contracted if we come in contact with what comes out of our bodies. Why? Because EVERYTHING that comes out of our bodies is unclean. Therefore, everything that comes out of us is corrupt and corrupts everything it touches; natural and spiritual. Make sense?

The only way we can be made whole from our uncleanness is by touching Jesus. This is good news! For those of us in Bible Study last night, Pastor Rob talked about the woman with the issue of blood. She was unclean, but when she touched Jesus, she was made whole and brought into a relationship with Him.

So hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to you in Leviticus 15. Defilement caused by discharge comes from within. In other words, sin originates from the heart, but the blood of Jesus is the solution to the sin in our hearts.

Expect God To Do It

This has been an exciting year! We have seen the hand of the LORD at work in our lives, experiencing His love, peace and blessings. God has taken the good, bad and ugly, and put it all in the mix to work out for the good. Now, a new year is on the horizon. What will come of this year? What new journey will be embarked upon?
